Neighbourhood plans in Barnet
Neighbourhood planning enables communities to influence the future of their neighbourhood by preparing a Neighbourhood Plan.
This provides an opportunity to set out the vision for a local area and bespoke planning policies to guide developments within an individual neighbourhood area. Once approved the Neighbourhood Plan becomes part of the Development Plan for Barnet.
This information is intended to help communities understand what neighbourhood planning in Barnet entails.
We are aware of 2 neighbourhood plans currently being progressed in Barnet, they cover Mill Hill and West Finchley respectively.
