Message from Cllr Dan Thomas, Leader of Barnet Council 22 April 2020
Supporting and protecting our most vulnerable children and young people has been central to our response to the COVID-19 crisis. I thank our staff and partners for their hard work in these anxious and stressful times. Our social workers have visited and helped those children most in need, while our army of foster carers and residential staff have kept children in care safe.

Message from the Leader Cllr Dan Thomas 8 April 2020
Earlier this week I volunteered at the newly created Essential Supplies Hub in Barnet. Food and other essential supplies arrive daily, ready to be distributed to those that are self-isolating, or being shielded, or otherwise facing difficulty during this time. So far over 170 parcels have been delivered to residents and it is quite astounding to see the scale of the operation that has been turned around in such a short space of time.
