The National Association for Children of Alcoholics addresses the plight of children growing up in families where one or both parents suffer from alcoholism, or similar addictive problems. This concern includes children of all ages, many of whose problems only become apparent in adulthood. Its aims include offering information, advice and support to children of alcoholics through its free confidential Helpline and website and reaching professionals who deal with children of alcoholics in their everyday work. There is a answer phone service available outside of hours
