The Child Accident Prevention Trust is a national UK charity committed to reducing the number of children and young people killed, disabled and seriously injured as a result of accidents. It aims to raise the profile of childhood accidental injury among decision-makers, practitioners and parents, increase knowledge of how to prevent childhood accidental injury and reduce inequalities in accidental injury. It provides publicity directed at practitioners and parents through safety campaigns and its annual awareness-raising Child Safety Week. It also offers information and advice to practitioners and parents through publications, videos and a telephone information service and is involved in community-based projects, particularly targeting disadvantaged families.
