How to appeal
You can appeal within 30 days if you are not satisfied with the outcome of your Blue Badge application. This 30 day appeal window will be from the date we made the decision.
You must make your appeal in writing. Please include:
- the reason why you feel the decision is incorrect
- your name
- your email address
- your home address
- your telephone
- new medical evidence which shows that you meet the eligibility criteria. Your medical evidence must not already have been provided. It should detail your conditions and the impact on your mobility
Your appeal process could be delayed if you do not provide these details.

Next steps
Once your appeal is received, it can take up to 12 weeks to be processed. We will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of your appeal. We may contact you during this time if we need any more medical evidence.
Please do not reapply for a Disabled Freedom Pass until 6 months after your original application.
