Using a Blue Badge
Blue Badge is a national scheme that helps people with disabilities or health conditions park closer to their destination.
Who can use the Blue Badge
The badge is for the holders use and benefit only.
A Blue Badge can be used in any vehicle in which the holder is travelling. The holder doesn’t have to be the driver.
You must only use it if the holder is travelling in the vehicle as a driver or passenger. Or, if someone is collecting or dropping the holder off.
Do not allow other people to use the badge to do something on your behalf, such as going shopping.
How to use the Blue Badge and clock
Parking concessions will not apply just because of the tax classification, or because the driver is a Blue Badge holder.
You must display the Blue Badge and clock clearly in your vehicle for the parking concessions to apply.
You may get a penalty charge notice if the Blue Badge and clock are not displayed.
