Who can get a free COVID-19 test
Ongoing free testing is available for people with symptoms who are:
- patients in hospital
- living or working in high-risk settings such as care homes or the NHS
- eligible for COVID-19 treatments because they are at higher risk of getting seriously ill.

Where to buy a test
If you do not fall into the categories eligible for free testing but you wish to test yourself for COVID-19, lateral flow tests continue to be available to buy from pharmacies and supermarkets, including online.
