Children under 5 years old can travel free
Children aged under 5 can travel free at any time on all TfL services (buses, Tube, DLR, London Overground and TfL Rail)
They need to be accompanied by an adult with a valid Oyster/contactless card or a valid ticket.
No child ticket is needed.
Zip Oyster photocard for 5 to 10 year olds
This photocard gives children aged 5 to 10 free travel on bus, Tube, tram DLR, London Overground, most National Rail services and TfL Rail (excluding stations between West Drayton and Reading).

11 to 15 Zip Oyster photocard
This photocard gives children aged 11 to 15:
- free travel on buses and trams
- child rate pay as you go fares on Tube, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail (excluding between West Drayton and Reading) and the Emirates Air Line
- 50% off most fares on National Rail services

This photocard gives children aged 16 and 17:
- free travel on buses and trams

If you’re aged 18 to 60 and claiming benefits you may be eligible for:
- 50% off adult pay as you go bus and tram fares
